Depending on the support you require, we can work with you on diversity in your board appointments, finding black colleagues, your product/service offering to black people, pay gaps, retention numbers, diversity policies, and even how your business should communicate about race issues.

Crucially, we will also encourage you to consider how you could make your supply chains, procurement and tendering opportunities accessible for blackled businesses. This is a huge barrier for blackowned businesses, and a huge social value opportunity for businesses and the public sector.

Our membership packages

 The SME package 

We have designed a comprehensive package for SMES that brings together:

  • Support to meet, contract with, and procure from, black-owned businesses. Driving the opportunity around supply chains and procurement.
  • Learning opportunities through events and online training on the subject of race and diversity.  
  • Events and network building – improve your connectivity with black professionals and black business owners. Black people often report that they do not have the same access to networks as others, and that this hampers their potential for growth. This connectivity is crucial to breaking down systemic barriers. 
  • Access to jobs boards x 5 adverts/year – post your jobs to our audiences of black professionals. 
  • Use of BURN logo on your collateral and your branding on our supporters’ page to demonstrate your support and commitment to this issue. 
  • Burn will support your online content where relevant. 

Price: £799 per annum

Including Board Apprentice: £2,300/year 

  • Board Apprentice – a board-ready black professional who will spend a year on your board, learning and contributing their ideas. Their CV will be enhanced, and you’ll have the opportunity to keep them on after the year at no additional fee.

 

The Board-level package 

Many businesses have told us that their key challenge is to get black leaders onto their boards.

We can help you by providing a Board Apprentice – a board-ready black professional who will spend a year on your board, learning and contributing their ideas. Their CV will be enhanced, and you’ll have the opportunity to keep them on after the year at no additional fee.  

Price: £1,600

 

Microbusiness 

We recognise that many of our allies run their own microbusinesses. You are in a unique position to support black business owners, by being part of our network, collaborating and working with our community, and sharing information and opportunities.  

  • Opportunity to be part of a diverse network, enabling your organisation to break down longstanding issues of connectivity/networking for black professionals.  
  • Learning opportunities through events and online training on the subject of race and diversity.  
  • Events and network building – improve your connectivity with black professionals and black business owners. Black people often report that they do not have the same access to networks as others, and that this hampers their potential for growth. This connectivity is crucial to breaking down systemic barriers.
  • Connections to black solopreneurs, with a view to collaborating on projects or tenders – get in touch with us and we will make connections.

The Corporate package 

In addition to SME package above: 

  • 121 support to meet, contract with, and procure from, black-owned businesses. Driving the opportunity around supply chains and procurement. We will meet with you to discuss your upcoming procurement and tendering opportunities, with a view to helping you include black-owned businesses in the process.
  • Board Apprentice – a board-ready black professional who will spend a year on your board, learning and contributing their ideas. Their CV will be enhanced, and you’ll have the opportunity to keep them on after the year at no additional fee.
  • Two 121 sessions with the MD of BURN who will then support you to deliver change.
  • A two-hour expert social media workshop, to enable you to talk about race issues across your channels.
  • Access to jobs boards x 10 adverts/year – post your jobs to our audiences of black professionals.

Price: £2,999 per annum

The Patron package 

In addition to Corporate and SME packages above: 

  • You will be a leading BURN partner in helping the North of England to level up on race. 
  • Following the cultural audit, we will support you to make your business offering as open to black people as it is to white people, including products/services, supply chains, staff and leadership. 
  • We will provide bespoke training for existing Executives, Chairs, Nominations Committees and Boards to enable them to drive change within their own organisations.  
  • We will provide in depth support to help you meet, contract with, and procure from, black-owned businesses. Driving the opportunity around supply chains and procurement. We will meet with you to discuss your upcoming procurement and tendering opportunities, with a view to helping you include black-owned businesses in the process. 
  • Speaking opportunities at events and in press (as appropriate). 
  • Branding on all collateral and weekly mentions on social media.
  • Access to jobs boards – unlimited adverts/year.

 Price: £25,000 per annum

Supplementary products   

  • Bespoke cultural audit | circa £12,000, depending on your requirements 

You will work with us to undertake a CONFIDENTIAL cultural audit and whatever work is necessary to ascertain your current position with regards to black customers, staff, supply chains, and leadership.   

We will help you to understand where you are now with regard to race, and help you to strategise and plan for change.  

Note – we envisage conducting this audit annually to highlight positive progress as well as any gaps.
